Nice! Was yours set up like that stock, or did you do the conversion yourself? Mine currently has the coffin hood and quad rectangles, and I'm still in the research phase.
Additionally, it's bright blue, so finding a clean flathood has been slow so far, haha.

I think any one before 80 is a flat hood. Mine was a bright blue too! It was ultra stock condition, I flew out to the midwest to get one that wasnt rusty. It was an auto though, because I bought it for my wife at the time to drive. I am going to keep hunting that phone up

Ah, I see. Mine's an '83.
Mine is also an auto; it's the wife's DD for now. As soon as I get a little money saved up, by March-April, I'll be getting her a Sportwagen TDI and either selling the Volvo, or hopefully turning it into a project car. Whiteblock swap + manual swap + many many IPD parts.

I like the power of the whiteblock and all, but I would rather build a redblock FT any day. There was just an 84 Black turbo intercooled 240 wagon in VT with an M51 for sale I was so dying to get into

Was yours a turbo or na? Mine's na, and slow as hell. That's the main impetus for looking into a whiteblock. Still keeping options open though for sure.
Also, that sounds absolutely glorious.

yeah that Porsche designed whiteblock sure sounds good. Mine was a 2.1l non turbo. With a 3 speed auto. Driving back from chicago was interesting

Hah, sweet. Mine's the B23F with 4speed auto. It's fun, but it'll be far more fun with a 5speed manual.
